An antenna's performance can only be measured accurately in a reflection-free, noise-free environment. Signals reflected off walls or coming from outside distort the result.
An antenna measurement chamber is designed for the measurement method (far-field, near-field, compact range) and frequency range; the positioner and cable penetrations are planned together with the room.
