What is a MIL-STD-461 military chamber?

A Defense Project's Schedule Depends on the Test Chamber

Before going into the field, military equipment passes MIL-STD-461 tests for the interference it emits and its immunity to outside signals. RTCA DO-160 is used for aerospace equipment.

With your own test chamber you run pre-tests during development and arrive at qualification testing ready. The chamber can be designed to meet both standards.

Standard Setup

461G table and antenna layout.

Shared Use

DO-160 tests can be run as well.

Heavy Load

Large systems can be tested.

Schedule Control

Testing doesn't delay the project.

Options

Three Options for Your Needs

Let Us Help You Choose

Compact 461 Chamber

Compact, for component testing.

Standard 461 Chamber

Large table for subsystems.

Platform Chamber

For vehicles and platforms.

Is a separate chamber needed for DO-160?

In most cases the same chamber can be designed to meet both standards.

Which absorber is used?

Ferrite and pyramid absorbers that sufficiently reduce reflections at the frequencies the standard requires are selected.
